This particular piece is a series of the little people creatures that I am starting to create. It is a miniature sized collage style painting ( 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 ) done on watercolor paper. I used postal stickers, watercolor paints and colorful markers.

Altered Books & Journals

I always like to carry around small books while traveling about to sketch in or jot down notations.

This particular book was altered by adding canvas, leather, pages from maps, lace, and tags on to the front and back cover of book.

I decided to paint the cover in bright colors, and abstract designs to give the book life. Turquoise bird was added to the front of the book.

This journal has ruled pages, and may be used for jotting down notes. Measures 3x4.5

Altered Books

A book artz project has sparked my interest to create additional altered books. This particular book measures 4x5. It makes a great compact sized book to carry around on daily routines, write down notes, or phone numbers in. The book cover has been altered by using torn out pages from a road map, pieces of leather, tags, and paints.

VAST Animal Project

VAST animal project has come along really nicely, and I am thrilled to have participated as one of the 12 artist from VAST ( Etsy Street Team) to submit animal art (Giraffe Drawing).

Everything is made by hand, with love, for the animals.
The charity, price, and where to buy is still to be determined....I will post more pictures, and information as it comes along.

Since the VAST Animal project started, I have created a an additional series of miniature sized giraffe paintings. Each giraffe painting was done in acrylic paint on canvas, trading card, and watercolor paper....

I plan to swap one of the cards with (2 giraffes on it) by the end of the week with another talented atc artist that specialized in original painting as well. Can't wait to see her work.
